He is arrested, by the Republican Guards and thrown into prison; but Luxie'e father, now a poptflar idol, saves him and secures his release. Lucie goes to him. but Barney is rearrested. Carton, hearing of Lucie's pligiht, goes to Paris. There he discovers Brasard. a former English epy, as an official of the prison where Darnay is incarcerated, and by threatening ham secures a promise of aid. Darn ay is tried before the revoluttionary tribunal and sentenced to dea/tih as am enemy of the Republic. Carton gains admittance to Barnay's cell, cMaraioTros him, and sends him out to a coach, where Da-may is met by Lawio and her friends and taken to England. Carton, in Barclay's clothes, answers his name the next day. and goes to the guillotine, giving his life for tho happiness of the -woman he loved but could not "wi?" 1 - Nexfr week matinees will be given daily, commencing at 2 p.m.
