PRESBYTERIAN MENS LEAGUE

The monthly meeting of the Maori Hill branch of the Presbyterian Men's League wa& held at the John M'Glashan College on Tuesday, Mr A. G. Butchers presiding over a fair attendance. Mr Bussell reported having attended a meeting of the Musselburgh branch the previous evening, when a motion in favor of Church Union was carried. Be Peace Week celebrations, it was decided to comnvunioate with the various branches of o'ie league and with the 8.6.A. The subject for discussion was ' The Housing Problem,' which was deferred from last meeting, at which Rev. E. A. Axe!sen gave an address. The following points were brought forward by Mr Butchers and spoken to by Revs. J. M. Simpson, 8.A., A. Don, R. A. Chisholm, H. H. Barton and others :—(1) The cause of the nousiug problem; (2) Physical fitness and moral standards; (3) Upon whom should xest the responsibility of finding a remedy!
