HOHENZOLLERN BUSTS TO BE REMOVED
The City Council of Berlin, after an excited debate, has decided that the portraits and busts of the ex-Kaiser and his family, which rised to decorate offices and schools, aire to be removed. The proposal was supported ton thy ground that a new spirit now reigns in Bejlin, and that the symbols of the old regime 'are out.of place, particularly in sohoote. Ths objectors to the proposal were in a minority, but wore violent in their protests. One of t'hem remarked that he trot his notice on Apr:'. 1, and took it to be an All Fools' Day jest. Another caused a scene by denwmding if it were proposed to replace the.'c sacred emblems by tha ugly faces of the originators of the scheme.,
