The Australian article has just advanced, by 10 to 12g por cont.,- and the American from L2t to 20 per -cent. , A decided increase i n "the price of colonial leather is to operate from to-morroav, which will have the effect of advancing the retail price of men’s boots by about 5s por pair, with other classes in proportion. It can also bo expected that higher prices will have to be paid for repairs.
