Mac Donald states that iurangcnients have been made by the Board of Trade with the Colonial Sugar Company to supply nil requirements for New Zealand home consumption of sugar for the next dne months. Tho wholesale price is fixed at £23 15s, f.o.b. Auckland supplies tg- manufoctanars, £2l 15s, with the usual addition of 12s 6d in tha cose of Auckland buyers. The increase for the general track is 25s per ton, that being necessary owing to losses sustained by the company as tho result -of poor crops. It is anticipated that next) yearia ■crop will show no im.novement.
