ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
A. fatal shooting accadent occurred in the Pokeno Valley (Auckland) on Sunday, resulting in the death of a returned soldier named John Gordon. He wan duck shooting on hake Mangamata, when his gun wen£ off accidentally. The Coroner, in giving a verdict of accidental death, added a rider regarding the rare-less bundling of firearms. James Morris Colo, aged fije years, resitting at Milton, was swlmitied to tho Dunedin Hospital ’ust evening suileniiig from a fractured right leg, sustained while playing at school.
