On being asked at Christchurch if he bad secured any results from his appeal to Australia for coal miners, the Hon. Mr Mac Donald practically admitted that he had not. So far as eouid be gathered the Australians were very_ reluctant about coming over here, especially as the Cobar mines were to reopen under new conditions. 'Mr JVlacDonald stated that the Coal Commission's report would be printed in book form. He could not indicate the Commission's finding's, as the report had not yet been submitted to the Cabinet.
