DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Business was slack at the first call today, no sales being reported or recorded. The dredging and sluicing markets were neglected, while the quartz market was quiet, Talismans showing a firming tendency, buyers offering Bs, sellers asking 8s 6d. Of investments, P. and O.s have gone back on yesterday"s closing quotations, there being a 'buyer at £598 and a seller at £405. Huddarts had good inquiry at 395, but sellers asked 6a more. Dominion Rubbers have had a sharp rise, with buyers at 28s 6d and sellers at 30s. New Zealand Paper Mills have also had a sharp rise, being wanted at 25s 6d, and sellers asking 28s.
