WAR MEDALS & CERTIFICATES
[Per United Pkkss Association.] WELLINGTON, May 8. In connection with the issue of a general war medal, the New Zealand Defence Department is preparing rolls of the recipients, and malting arrangements for the distribution of the medal. It is also proposed to issue to all members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force an illuminated certificate showing each man's record of service. There will be two classes of certificate—one for soldiers with oversea service, the other for soldiers with not less than 12 months' home service. It 'a not intended to issue certificates of discharge to the men in training here when the armistice is signed, but to discharge them en bloc by proclamation at the conclusion of peace.
