Mr E. S. Black, one ot the four candidates for the Oity mayoralty, entertained his supporters in the Savoy lounge last evening. The company was a numerous, one, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening was spent. There was an absence of ail formality, the function being an "at home " in the strictest sense o't the word. The. .musical items were a feature of the evening. Refreshments were served, and the social terminated about 10 o'clock with cheers for the host and hostess. " You know you are in the wrong," said the contentious man. _ "Nothing of the sort," replied the»unwilling debater. "I merely said I might be mistaken." "Ha! Then "you concede that you are not infallible." " 0 course I do. Nobody but a blankety-blanked fool would think himself in fallible." " Sir, do you .mean to insinuate " " I don't men to insinuate anything. Thank heaven, here's my car! Good-night!" "Living goer, up, but the price of C.M.C. Sheep Tongues goes down, for they are now reduced in price. "Tis now as economical to purchase C.M.C. Tongles as it it to 'buy fresh meat. For luncheons, teas, and picnics CM.C. Tongues are popular favorites. Served in a minu'e —delicious end 'lastv. Try Ihcm!—[Advt.]
