PAULS TO WASHINGTON BY WIRELESS
PARTS, March 2. Prance will soon possess the most powerful wireless station in the world. _ This station is now in course of construction at Croix d'Hins, near Bordeaux, where one of the first aerodromes was established when flying began. The station was begun by the American army, but has been sold by the United States in an incomplete condition to the French Government. Four masts, which will carry aerials, will be 275 metres high —that is to say. 25 metres less than the Eiffel Tower. 'The station will, however, lie more powerful than either the Eiffel Tower or Kauen, and will be able to communicate direct by wirejess telegraphy or telephony with Washington to the west or China to the east.
