The Wakari School Committee met last night. -Mr R. S. Brown picsided, iind there were present Messrs Hood. Andrews. Torrance, Dick, Tweedy, and M'Cullorh. The head master reported the average attendance for the month as 164. A circular was received from the Education Board recommending hot drinks for the children during the winter months. Two members were appointed to co-operate with the head master in order to make suitable arrangements for supplying them. The gymnasium has now been failed up with desks and heaters for Standards V. and VI., which room is now occupied by the head master as a temporary expedient prior to the erection of a new* class room. It was decided to call a meeting of residents for Saturday to make arrangements to welcome returned soldiers, also for the peace celebrations, and to complete the names on the honors board memorial. The committee were gratified to note that the Xaw League membership of 101 was probably the largest City school membership. The matter of _ supplying a conveyance for children living three miles or over from < 0 school is now in the hands of the Education Board, and the committee trust that satisfactory arrangements will be made for the purpose.
