The Hon. ft. W. Russell staited this morning that the Influenza Commission’s report will he ready on May M. The number of influenza cases in the Dominion reported from April 28 to May 1 was 53,12 he»i a sever(,. There were 20 cases in Auckland. 10 in Wellington, and 23 m Canteibuu. With regard to the impasse between the medical men and the Health Department respecting services rendered in the recent epidemic, the Minister has agreed to hold s conference of doctors in Christchurch on Saturday and clothing trade workers. The hours of work were reduced Worn 45 to 44 per week Jonrneywomen’s wages were increased to £1 15s per week, and journeymen's to £3 13s 4d and £3 17s. Increases wean also granted to apprentices. The agreement is to bo made into an award to cover the Dominion, and is to come into operation on May 12.-.Welkngton ware.
