Mr Thomas (secretory of tho Railwayman's Union) had a long conference with Mr Lloyd Oeorge in Paris, and returned to London by aeroplane. _ ■The general feeling in railwaymen circles is that the eitui&tion is satis factory, and that Mr Thomas will bo able to announce the basis for a settlement.
