LATE SHIPPING
The Moeraki is expected to leave Bydnsy to-morrow for Wellington. The Taltme, which arrived at Auckland at midnight on Wednesday from the ieland6, was berthed at the northern port at 8 a.m. to-day. The Koromiko is to leave Liyttelton tomorrow for Sydney. Sihe will afterwards go to Newcastle to load coal for a New Zealand port. j The Corinna will leave Nelson to-mor< I row for New Plymouth, Wellington, and Dunedin. She is expected to arrive her* | about March 30. The Kamo left Onefcunga at 7.20 a.m. ! to-day for Greymoutb., where she will load ! coal for Wellington. The Kaitangata is to leave Auckland | to-morrow for Sydney. THE WAR OPAL. Telegraphic advice received by MessW J. W. Swift and Co. states that the steamer War Opal, from New York", has been delayed at Wellington. She will not, therefore, arrive at Dunedin until Wednesday evening next at the earliest. THE DARTFORD. The Union Company advise that it© barque Dartford, bound from Vancouver to Wellington, was sighted"bv the officers of the Te Anau on Wednesday night off Castlepoint, not on March 13, an stated elsewhere. The vessel will discharge a portion of her cargo at Wellington, after which she will go to Sydney to put out the balance. Forecast. The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) supplied the following at noon to-day :—Wind freshening, northerly, strong to gale, and backing by west to south; the weather appears likely to be at cloudy and unsettled; rain probable, and snow "on higli country; barometer falling, but rising after about 24 to 36 hours, then the weather will probably become colder; sea rough; tides good.
