CLUTHA SHOW
(Special to the ' Star."] BALCLUTHA, March 21. The show was continued to-day in good weather. The attendance of the public was large, although not equal to last show. There was a good entry on the whole. In draughts John RendalFe w«i first and champion. In the entires, in a good ring of foals, George Moffat's Ally, Finest Blend, was placed first. Thos. Sopers two-year-old filly by Sir Hallurn was highly praised by the judges. There was nothing outstanding in. thoroughbreds or ponies, but there was a good show of hackneys. Thos. Telford (Otanomomo) was first in the 15st class, and Mrs Allison (Clarksville) in the 13st. The judging of horses is not finished.
In dairy produce the butter was exceptionally good. Mrs Moffat (Te Houka) and Mrs Moore (Pukepito) were chief priaetakers; and in baking Mrs 8. M'Kay (Balclutha) and Mrs F. Helm (Mataura) were to the fore.
