The Govornor-General will arrive in Dunedin this evening from the north. Tomorrow morning His Excellency will visit the Monteoillo Convalescent Home, and will formally open tho new vocational ward and the new recreation room which have been established at the home. In the afternoon His Excollency, who is a keen player, will pay an informal visit to the lawn .tennis tournament at Anderson Bay. Mr E. G. Bush, Now Zealand manager for the United States Rubber Company (Australasia), Ltd., has arrived m Dunedin. Dr Riley leaves for the Old Country next month, and will be absent for about nine *»_nths. He has been granted leave of absence by the Hospital Board. Captain R. N. Gray, M.C., M.M., Canterbury Regiment, who was recently adjutant at the base at Etaples, and later O.C. of the instructors' school at Hornchurch, has arrived in Dunedin. Captain Gray is the eldest son of the Rev. R. S. Gray. Captain K. E. Shorney, who has been command paymaster for the Otago military district during tho past six months, has resigned from the service, and will relinquish his appointment in favor of Captain Skeppard about the 10th April.
