BENEFIT CONCERT

In the Burns Hail last evening a benefit concert was held with the object of raising funds to assist Mr J. Stuart, who a .short time ago lost his right hand througn a grin accident. The- concert was a great success, and the programme submitted pleased the large andienoe who filled the hall. The Kaikorai Band opened both parts of the programme, and various local performers contributed' acceptable selections. Tlio vocalists were:—Mrs W. Can-, Mi&s Garter, M'iss E. Prid-liam, Messrs T. Baehop, H. P. Besmoulrns, R. Bryant, J. Leech, and A. V. Robinson, all of whom were encored. Mies Ivy Mazengarb and Messrs J. M'Connell And C. H. Russell contributed recitations. An instrumental quartet from the Kaikorai Band played an item, which completed the evening's entertainment. Miss Violet Inder acted as accomjxanist.
