AT THE KING'S

•DURAND OF THE BAD LANDS.' The management of the King's presented for the first time this afternoon a Fox sniper film, 'Durand of the Bad Lands,* from the scenario of the famous Western, writer, Zane Grey. Dustin Farivum, one of the most authentic of the Fox " stars," has the leading role of J)uraiid, an outlaw who is badly wanted for a deed he never committed, or would have committed. Durand had been present at an Indian massacre, and with three young children was the only man in the settlement to escape the red men's blood lust. But Iris mark had been subsequently found on the spot, and by virtue of his reputation the (Time was laid to liis door. Meantime, in the midst of his many wild escapades Durand has fallen mightily in love with Molly Gore, a pretty girl who is looking after tho young children rescued from the massacre. She takes the children East, and in her absence Durand distinguishes himself by a gallant rescue of the Governor's daughter. And then the law pounces upon him, and Molly hastens to her lover's side. He is tried" and convicted of outlawry, but none of his illegal acts have been very heinous (being rather the result of youth'and high spirits) and because he had Tescued - the Governor's daughter, that official pardons him and Durand marries Molly and becomes a staid, good citizen. This is a capital story of exciting Western deeds. The supports include- ' "Trom Egg to Spit' (poultry industry), ' The Rivers of France' (scenic), and 'Love and Logs' (comedy).
