The ‘ Daily Express ’ states that the Air Force will be an independent force in future, and will bo administered by the War Office. Lord Weir has, resigned his appointment on the Air Board, of which ho was lattcily chairman, having previously been Controller of Aeronautical Supplies. HAIG IN COLOGNE. LONDON, December 18. (Received December 21, at 9.30 a.m.) Sir Douglas Haig has visited Cologne, and was received with ipilitary honors. Ho presented each war correspondent with a Union Jack, similar to the flag flown on his own motor car. HINDENBURG ACTIVE. High Commissioner’s Cable. LONDON, December 20 (12.50 p.m.). Von Hindcnbtirg has intimated that he proposes to establish a new front 10 kilometres in the rear of the ucutiM zone. He refuses any explanation, and is posting two regiments at Frankfort.
