The monthly meeting yesterday afterJ noon was attended by Messrs S. Hinckley | (in the chair), W. Bowles. T. Edwards, M. i Geary, W. Rowland, ana P. Moss. Tho Public Health Inspector wrote requesting the board to arrange for an inhalation chamber at Portobclio.—Clerk to explain the position. I _ From the Rangitikei County Council ask- ! ing co-operation in urging the Government I to remove the restrictions in 'respect to ! tho maximum Wages of road surfacemen.— Received. From _the Health Department, enclosing instruction* for disinfecting premises and suggestions for tho distribution of dlsini'actante.—Received. The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board '■ "wanted to know what tho board had dona ,in connection with the epidemic—The i clerk to supply the information. j From the Minister of Public Works, ad- ; vising that Is per day additional remuneration might be paid to man carrying on work subsidised by Government grants.— Received. Mr J. Sparrow directed attention to the bad state o{ a portion of the top road at Vauxhuß.—To be attended to as soon as possible. The honorary ranger reported that several ..If! :; n.Lit hjX'U rut down Oil tilt iOl'eshore at Broad Bay.—Resolved to orfar a raward for information leading to tho conviction' of anyone destroying- the bu?h. Members reported on "the work done by the surfacemen, and discussed various matters in connection with the upkeep- of the roads.
