A RECORD INCREASK. XECESSITY INCREASES PRODUCTION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, Re liter's Telegrams. LONDON. August 28. (Received August 29. at 12.15 p.m.) The Board of Agriculture report that the arable area, in England is now 12,400,000 acres, an increase of 1,150,000 compared with the area in 1917. This is a record for 20 years. The wheat acreage increased by 633,000 acres, the area for oats by 23 per cent., and that for potatoes by 25 per cent.
