CAVERSHAM METHODIST CHURCH
A concert in aid of the circuit funds was held under the auspices of the Caversham Methodist Church in the church hall last evening-. The hali was well filled, and the programme presented was highly appreciated. One of the soloists (Miss Madce Torrance) was unable to be present, so Mr K. R. Muir was called upon for an additional song. Most if the items were solos, but there were also a few instrumental selections, monologues, and_ recitations. The soloists were Miss Elsie Macdougall (selected), Miss Carrie Aslin (' Angus Macdonald' and 'Poi'), Mr K. R. Muir {' Shipmates o* Mine ), Mr G. 8. Newton ('She Is Far from the Land ), Mr C G Bryden ('The Sergeant of the Line* and 'Mountain Miss Doreen Todd gave the monologue 'Pushful Jim' and the recitation entitled 'Bobolink,' and Mr J. B. M'Oonnell' contributed "The Glory of the Garden' and the monologue 'The Little Red Ribbon.' Ma- Walter Paine gavo a fine selection on the piccolo. Miss Manseli was the accompanist.
