DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. SUMMARY FOR THE WEEK. Tho market during, the week, although all shares remain linn, has been particularly lifeless, and very little business lias been. done. In the mining market, Talismans continue to rise gradually, buyers offering up to 10s 6d, whilst Waihis 'have, also been in good demand at 575. Junctions and Mount Lyells appear to be slightly easier. In local mining shares, Nokomai Hydraulics have been wanted up to. 14s ex div., and Electrics Is. In tho investment market, bank shares continue firm, Nationals being wanted at 107s 6d, aiid Bank of New Zealnnds (fully paid-up at £l7 Bs. and parifylly paid at £l2 2s 6d. National Insurances have had a close market (buyers 58s. sellers 58s 6d), whilst South British have been wanted at £6l 6s, and Standards at 41s. In the shipping market Union Steams Ipref.) have been wanted at 20s 9d, sellers 21s. Huddart-Parkers have had sales at 38s 6d. In coal shares, Wesiports have firmed slightly, with buyers at 29s 9d, no sellers under 3Cn 3d, whilst the best seller of Stocktons has been 8.-;. Rubber shares have been neglected, Dominion Rubbers being iquired for occasionally at 275. 28s sellers. N.Z. Refrigerators base had a close market during the week with buyers at 39s 6d, sellers 40s 6d. with sales at 40s. MM,cod's Soaps have had good inquiry at £l4 ss. Milburn Cements have been firm, and show a slight rise during the week. All woollen shares continue in good demand, Bruce Woollens having a rise to buyers 51s 6d, with sellers at 335. Mosgiels have been wanted at 97s 6d, without a seller. Amongst the stock and financial companies National Mortgages and Perpetual Trustees have come in for good inquiry. N.Z. Drugs have been in good demand, buyers offering to 53s 6d, without sellers, whilst N.Z. Paper Mills also remain firm with buvers at 22s Id, sellers 22:1 6d. To-lay's quotations : —Quart/.
