LODGE MEETING
Tbs Hope of Dunedin Lodge, LO.G-.T., bald their weekly meeting on Wednesday evening in the lodge room, Moray plate, Bro. A. Gibson, C.T., presiding. It was resolved by silent vote to semi “a letter of sympathy and condolence to the family of the lata Bro. F. Stubbs, who for manv years was an esteemed member of the Order. The superintendent of the temple reported increased interest in the work. Three candidates were initiated. After recess the programme arranged (cake guessing and harmony) was proceeded with, Sister M'Gregor guessing the correct weight, and “took the cate.’’ The sisters provided coffee and other refreshments. Harmony was.contributed by several members, and then an interesting discussion took place on ‘Drink Doings’ during the past week. A motion was carried that it would be in the best interests of tho soldiers that hotels should bo closed when troopships are landing troops in ports, especially men supposed to be returning sick and wounded. The question of the proposed petition was left to the District Lodge Executive to deal with. A vote of thanks was passed to Sisters Gilbert and Lockhart for providing tho refreshments, and the visitors. This was reponded to by Bister Gain (Pioneer) and Bro. Sim (Resent
