Tho total number of notifications of infections diseasss within tho Otago and. Southland Hospital District dining tho month of June was £OS, tho same number as for May. Scarlet fever notifications reached the total of 78, a decrease of 21 as compared with May. In and about Dunedin there .arc 49 of these scarlet fever eases, but it is satisfactory to note tha appreciable decrease bare, for there were 73 such cases in and about Dunedin in May.
