Imagine children romciing home UK-; cold days to find a din- j r.cr'of raw potatoes and a handful of j r-uts. Perish th« thought! Like "Eat to Live," I am a j.;ronl believer in " Adam's aJe." but not to" the e*.tent_ of abolishing milk and cocoa. I think bis -menus very suitable diet for monkeys and parrots, but deciclc-dlv not for children. In regard to " A Soldier's Mother," if the has brought her family up cm tha menu indicated [ can only' vondor that her son ■w.'is lit enoujrh to be a. soldier. 1 am absolutely certain that she will have to in-cn'-isc/her «i!!ov.\-,nce of mince, etc., when h-?-r son returns, as he will at least get a good feed in Mr M;>ss-3y> army. In concli'S'o-n. may I ask or.e of your correspondents if She will kindly oblige with her iecips for soap. I an sure there are hun- ! ri-ds who will be only too willing to avail ..henisclves of an opportunity to economise without having to Do A Staete.
