He said that to believe in God was to trust the reasonableness of life, and that was to believe that this world did not end it. The Devs. G. H. Balfour, W. Saunders. V.'. (.I ray Dixon, Pryfessoi Dickie, and others took part in the .service. .Mr W. Paget Gale presided at th« organ, end a indy member of the congregation sang ‘ 0 rest m the Lord. Them was a good attendance at, a servhv of intercession in the South Dunedin Pmsbyteiian Church last night. The devotional exorcises were conducted by the [lev. Jl. Fan-maid. Mr F. G. Stewart read as the scripture, h-sson the 27th Psalm, ami several members of the congregation led in prayer. A timely address was delivered by Pastor E. XRolls. Appropriate byinns wore sung at intervals, and an earnest service dosed with tha benediction. A service of intercession was held at the Couth Dunedin Barracks of the Salvation .Army last, night, when there was a large, attendance, over which Major Colvin presided. To-night, in the Citadel, Dowling street, a. united service will be held. The band will be in strong force, and special addresses will be delivered. A brief service was conduct eel by the Revs. IT. H. Barton and R. Fairmaid gave a. short and appropriate address in anticipation of An/ac D-jv.
