A PREMATURE DISCUSSION. Ook Special Correspondent.] WELLINGTON, April 25, “ It is premature to discuss what hydroelectrical installations in the North Island will be gone on with.” states Sir William Fraser, in reply to a demand from Mr J. P. Luke, ALP., for a statement cl Government policy on this suhjoc,-. The Minister adds that tne Government arc fully alive to the necessity for prosecutring these works when normal times prevail, but it is impossible at present to obtain the necessary electrical equipment, and there is no hope of doing so until •some time after the war has concluded. If Mr Luke requires information as to sources of supplv, the Minister refers him to parliamentary papers.
