LODGE MEETING
Last night’s meeting of Rescue Lodge, 1.0.0. T., was well attended. Routine business having been transacted, harmony was indulged in, several songs, pianoforte solos, being contributed by members of Hope of Dunedin Lodge. An inspiriting address was delivered by Tiro. d. W. Comissiong on the necessity of being up and doing if the. Order were, to go ahead. He traced the history of Good Templary from its inception, pointing out where effort should be more especially directed. D.C.T. Bro. Jas. Hilton, on behalf of the lodge, presented C.T. Bro. W. A. lies with a safety razor, as a token of esteem, prior to his departure for Trentham. Bro. Hilton stated that Bro. lies was one of the few remaining charter members, and referred in grateful terms to the. work done for and on behalf of the lodge by the recipient. His remarks were endorsed by several other members. A presentation of a cigarette holder was also made to Bro. Ci'aib, who leaves next week for Trentham. The'recipients having responded, the lodge was closed with the singing of the ‘Soldiers’ Hymn.’
