ALLEGED ASSAULT AND ROBBERY.
Donald Henry Campbell and John Hcalev wen- charged at the Police Court this afternoon with assaulting and nJibing Robert’Price Wilson of four single on*;-pound notes and a cheque for. £2O 8-.—The complainant, a laborer from the country, said he arrived hj, Dnncdin on the 7th inst . and spent tho following day about town, ha' - ig a :V\- d inks with different unites. Between 8 and 9 o'clock in the evening,’'when at the i .uncr of the Arcade and Maclaggau street, Campbell spoke to him and pnu his arm round his , neck and swung his head back, Healey at the same lime taking his purse containing the money and cheque out ‘of his trousers pocket. The accused than made through the Arcade. He had been drinking with them during the day, when he gave Campbell ss. He had known Campbell all his life, and Healey for three or four years.— Both men were committed for trial.
