AMUSEMENTS

BOWLERS’ CONCERT. There ia every probability of a large audience being present at His Majesty’s Theatre on Monday night, when the Bowlers’ Choir of 50 male voices, assisted by artists who have established themselves, will offer a programme unique in many respects. On. the vocal side all wants will be met by Mrs Power, Misses Vera White and Mills, Messrs Leach, Bryant, and Deaker; those who love dancing will be delighted with the performances of Miss and Master Robinson; and interest will naturally attach to the appearance of Mr A. Credgington, the Invercargill elocutionist. The orchestra, led by Mr Flint, will afford pleasure. Altogether an excellent evening is promised, and seats should be booked at once. The full programme will be published to-mor-row. PROFESSOR MAXWELL WALKER. With the desire to aid in every possible way the interests of the boys at the front, the above-named gentleman has offered to deliver in Dunedin next Thursday the lecture entitled ‘ Lloyd George, Statesman LesuGr of Men, whicli has already earned fame for him- in Auckland. No more generally interesting subject, at the present time could bo. chosen. AD of us have an affectionate curiosity concerning the great man, who wields such immense power in these’critical times, and the professor is qualified to satisfy that cariosity. He knows his subject from A to Z, and as he is capable ox conveying his impressions in a most interesting manner the lecture’ is certain to be enjoyable as well as instructive. Burns Hall has been engaged for the occasion, and the prices are Zs and Is (no Amusement Tax). Patrons should attend early, as there is to ha no reservation of seats.
