Chaplain Bush-King reached Auckland on Saturday with draft and is on his way to Dunedin with the returned invalided soldiers. An official London cable states that a barony has been conferred upon Sir Edward Morris, ex-Premier of Newfoundland, in recognition of his long and distinguished services to the Empire. Mr A. J. Thomson, LL.B., clerk of the court at Queenstown, has been appointed ■assistant clerk at the Magistrate's Court, Dunedin.
