BRITAIN'S fSET LOSSES - EXCEED US PER CENT, Australian and N.Z. Cable x\ssociatior.. NEW YORK, January 4. (Received January 5, at 8.45 a.m) Mr Charles Grasty. writing to the ' New York Times' from London, says that he has learned from a high source that tho tonnage of British ships of more than 1,600 tons before the war aggregated*'l6,B4l,sl9 tons. The net losses, after deducting captures, purchases, and new construction, total 2.750,000 tons. Tho present available shipping thus totals 14,091,519 tons.
