He was 26 years of aae, and was educated at the Christchurch" Boys' *?§?■ H*.- 01 -?, s " bse ,<tue"tly was on the staff of W. B. Clarkson and Sons, meat exporters. Ho left AW Zealand with the 11th Reinforcements. Corporal Cay>o'll was very well known in cricket and fdo'iwll circles. Ho played for the Riccarton Club in senior cricket, and was treasurer of the dub. In Rugby he played for the Old Boys. He leaves a widow and one child. His older brother, Ernest R. Caygill, the well-known interprovincial cricketer, is regimental sergeant-major in the 34th Reinforcements.
