SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE

At a special meeting of the Dunedin executive of the .Second Division League the Government's recent legislation and new regulations concerning pensions and allowances were considered. The general opinion of members present was that the league's recent agitation for more edaquate provision for all soldiers, wives, chddren and other dependents had met with fair success. The following resolutions were carried : That the Dunedin executive of the Second Division League express their disappointment that the Government have deemed it necessary to limit the separation allowance to 3s per day for wives and Is per day for children; and trust that circumstances will permit of the matter being reconsidered at an early date. That this league, desire to express their appreciation of the support accorded to and objects by those members of Parliament who realised the justice of their claims.
