LODGE MEETING
The Hope of Dunedin Lodge 1.0. G.T., held their monthly meeting on Wednesday evening in the No-license Hall, Moray place, Bro. Purdie, C.T., presiding. Thero wa3 a good attendance. Sister Jones, of the Lifeboat Lodge, Timaru, was accorded a hearty welcome as a visitor, and conveyed greetings from the northern lodges. Two candidates were initiated. On tho report of the service of song, ■ held recently, being given, it was resolved, to tharfk Misses Smart and Gilbert and Mesdames Lockhart and Gilbert for valuable services rendered. After some discussion, the place arranged for the picnic on Labor Day was changed to Brighton. The programme was Dutch auction, and a valuable lot of goods was quickly disposed of by Bro. Hudson as auctioneer. A short musical programme was carried out. Votes to the visitors were responded to by Sis. Jones (Timaru) and Bro. Laurence (C.T., Pioneer Lodge). The suggested programme for °th o quarterly concert was submitted and approved.
