MEMBERS IN CAUCUS.
• -*- (Per United Press Association.) . r ... T ., . WELLINGTON, October 9. . A Caucus of the Liberal party was held this morning, at which all the members wers present, or accounted for. Sir Joseph Ward stated at the core of the mectim: that it had been called to discuss the serious financial position which hai arisen, due to the unexpectedly increased demands made by the Imperial authorities in connection with our forces at Home. Sir Joseph put the « facts before the members, and after full discussion the pprty unanimously resolved that the position must be met, and that they would support Sir Joseph in any incisures that he' might think necessary to take, bir Joseph will probably make a statement on tho subject in the Houso tins afternoon. . The Reform party also met in Caucus, and discussed the financial position, complete loyalty to and unanimous support .of the leaders being promised. Minor matters of discipline affecting the support of the National Government were left to the two Leaders to adjust.
