SCHOOL COMMITTEE

The monthly meeting of the Forbury Committee was held last evening, Mr P Johnson in the chair. The 'following members were present: —Messrs Poulter Often, Fleming, M'Ketterick, Smith, and Lucas. Mr E. J.- Barwell tendered his resignation as a member of the committee It was accepted with regret, and ho-was thanked for his past services. The head master roported an average attendance for the past four roll number being 725.; The deposits for tho same four weeks were £l7 10s 6d and S 6 A'W* £ l° s \ lea ™K balance ot il7B 9s 7d in the school savings bank, llie recent school- concerts held in the Coronation Hall were a great success, the sum of £4O being received for the prize and improvement funds. Tho committee were greatly indebted to Mr Eudey and Ins staff, also to the parents for their generous assistance towards the above funds. The chairman reported that the roll of honor fund was mounting up.
