NORTH DUNEDLN GUN CLUB
The above club held their shoot on Saturday last, when a large number of shooters journeyed to Tahuna Park (a piece of wHich ground the club have now secured for holding their matches) to compete for a trophy presented by Messrs Briscoe and Co. The wind was rather strong, which rendered the birds very tricky, consequently the shooting on the whole was poor; but two of the old Dunedin Club veterans (A. Cowie and R. Vinnecombe) showed that they were as keen of eye as m former days. The following were the principal scores for the open match :—A. Cowie (winner) 11, it. Vinnecombe 10, A. Kina 9 4 Byrne 9, A. Turner 9, W. Wilson 9, t! W. King 8 TS Smith 7, W. Snow 7, H King 6, and A. White 6. In the B grade match of eight birds for a trophy presented by Mr R, Conn the folirongj W B r n t fe P rinci Pal scores :-Dr M Bride 5, H. Henderson 5, W. Wilson 5 ?mt> damson 4, and W. Snow 4. Dr «L.J- j t Henderson, and W. Wilson n i?£ d '- J In the shoot -°ff (first miss out) t» - won on the sec ond bird During the afternoon refreshments, supplied by Mr R, Rutherford, were handed round. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent.
