The Juno returns of the South. KaJguri! Consolidated, Kalgoorlie (W.A.J show that results were less satisfactory than those for Mar, as the following comparison (May in parentheses) indicates:—Ore crushed. 8,731 (9,085) tons; .gold, 2,359 (2,560) fine oz., value £9,976 (£10,830). Working costs, £9,889 (£10,412). Surplus, 87 (418).
In his report for the month ended September 30 the manager of the Murray Cueek Gold Mining Company, Ltd., states that the No. 4 level has been extended south a further distance of 94ft. The reof can be traced in the bottom' of the level for a length of 48ft, and gold is plainly visible in the stone. The level has been driven north from the "-winze 13ft, width of reef in the face is 30in. During the month 1,386£ tons of quartz were delivered at the battery, of which 1,322 tons were crushtd, producing an approximate gross return of £2,980.
