ST. JOSEPH'S RED GROSS AND PATRIOTIC GUILD.
In connection with the forthcoming street collection oife October 18 in aid of the Red Cross funds a meeting will bo held in St. Joseph's Hall on Wednesday next at 8 p.m. to arrange for collections for the above guild's stall. Saleable articles of any kind for the stall may be left at Mr Chiaroni's Art Depot, Princes street. OUR DAY. Wonderful work has been done by the Red Cross in this war. The Red Cross heroes and heroines were on duty when the first shot was fired, and they may be depended upon to be at work when tho curtain falls on the world drama now being enacted. " Our Day," when an appeal is to be made throughout the Empire for funds for the RecT Cross, has been fixed for Thursday, October 18, and a street collection will bo made in Dunedin on that day. Tho money collected here will be for the benefit of the .British Red Cross and tho New Zealand Red Cross in England.
