m APPEAL TO OTAGO

FOR OUR SOLDIERS AND TKEIR FAMILIES. i The Otago Patriotic and General uelraro Association are making an .appeal in the following terms;—“ They invite the people of Otago to join them in one great and united effort to bring up the existing fund to a sum of not less than £200,000. The fund now stands at £98,815 17s 2d, and the drain already upon it is rapidly reducing it. Even if £200,000 wore raised it would only represent £lO per head—a miserable return for the groat sacrifice the men aro making for us and for the Causo of Liberty, Justice, and Humanity. At most, £200,000 will only enable the association to supplement the Government grants which, unfortunately, in many instances are quit© inadequate. It is hoped that every man, woman, and child in Otago will respond to this appeal according to their ability.
