Tho.revenuo for the Juno quarter was £115,959,286, being an increase of £43,000,000 as compared/ with, the June quarter of 1916.. ' /Thei, most striking increase is in tho excess profits duty. Including the, munitions levy, it amounted to £41,000,000, which is £35,000,000 in excess of that for tho 1916 period, which was onlv £6,000,000. j The expenditure chargeable against revenue was £671,000,000. AUSTRALIAN STATES. "SYDNEY, July 2." (Received July 2, at 9 a.m.) Tho New South Wales revenue for the year ended June 30 was £20,539,000, being an increase of £836,000 on the previous year. The expenditure was £19,553,900, or an increase of £1,254,500 as compared with the previous year. . MELBOURNE, July 2. Tho Victorian State revenuo for the year was £11,333,604, being an increase of. £163,704. ADELAIDE, July 2. The South Australian revenue for the year was £4,869,119, which is an increase of £512,152, but is £48,669 less than the Treasurer's estimate.
