DUNEDIN ' EXCHANGE. Both Auckland and Tasmanian quartz mining shares were in good demand on the share market this morning, and a fair amount of business was transacted in these lines at the first call on ’Change. Waihis were placed on offer at £1 15s, buyers quoting £1 14s Bd, and a sale was effected at £1 14s 9d. Several sales took place in Mount Lvells at £1 7b 3d, the market closing with further buyers at £1 7s Id and sellers at £1 7s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions were looked for at 15s, sellers asking 15r fid. The investment division of the market was active, and shipping shares were again in good demand. Hud-dard-Parkers (ordinary) remain firm, and several sales were effected in these shares at £1 12s 7d, £1 12s Pd. and £1 12s 9d, the market closing with further buvers at £1 12s 9d and sellers asking £1 l&s lOd. Union Steams also remain firm, there being a buyer for the ordinary issue at £2 19s 6d and a seller at £5 Os fid. Westport Coals were wanted at £1 10s fid, with sellers asking £1 Us, while the ordinary issue of Westport Stocktons were quoted at 9s and 9s fid, buyer and seller respectively.
