A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Young Men's Christian Association was lick! on Tuesday evening. The Rev. E, A. Axeken wrote resigning his position on the directorate on account of pressure of other duties. Mr C. Hendry (assistant secretary) also wrote resigning Iris position on account of enlistment in the forces. Both resignations were accepted with regret, Mr D. H. Gilmour applied for leave of absence from the directorate, as he was proceeding to the. front with the May reinforcements. Leave of absence was granted. Tlie officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—President, Mr John Russ ; vice-presidents, Messrs H. K. Wilkinson and C. F. Sundstnun ; hon. treasurers, Messrs J. B. Waters and I). Leslie. Mr V. T. Drew was appointed acting .secretary during the absence of the general secretary in England. The House Committee reported that 50 men had occupied rooms in the building during March. The Membership and Social Work Committee reported that during the mouth 13 different outside organisations had held 27 meetings in the building, with a total attendance of 772. The Junior Department Committee presented a report covering two months. The attendances of boys during the period had totalled 2.298 The Scouts’ Bible Class had averaged 50 each week.
