SERBS' FLANKING MOVE.
A CORRESPONDENT'S VERSION. WHAT THE PURSUIT PROMISED. LONDON, November 21. (Received November 22, at 9.45 a.m) Tho * Daily Chronicle's' Athens correspondent, referring to the far-reaching effects o£ the capture of Monastir, states that already more than a third of New Serbia has "been freed from German-Bul-gar occupation The Allies have taken 7,000 prisoners in the last eight days, of whom 1,500 are Germans. Nearly iOO cannon have been taken sinco ths beginning of the attack on Kajmackalan, and heavy losses have been inflicted at the cost of comparatively light allied losses The Serbians fired a million shells in 10 days. Tho Kenali lines were frontally impregnable, and Monastir was won np in the bleak mountains by the splendid Serbian artillery and infantry. When Hill 1,212 fell the enemy were compelled to abandon Monastir, retreating in disorder on the whole of their left front to beyond the Oerha, abandoning their dead and wounded and booty. On the right bank of the Cerna the veteran Serb General Stephanoyich has captured several heights, and is_ now driving the demoralised enemy without a halt towards the river, and he ought in a few hours to threaten the exits of the Babuna Pass. His left wing has carried Grondista, and is advancing along the hills on the right bank of the Cerna, where Statarovina has also fallen; while his centre, advancing along the road from Veterinik (30 miles east of Monastir), should now be before Verbsko, near the Cerna, Inside the Cerna loop. General Mashitch's first Serbian army, sweeping on, has taken Pernik, north of Iver] (on the Cerna, between Veterinik and Monastir) and Jarotak. The finest triumph was the capture rf Hill 1,378, in the Upper Morichovo Mountains, giving command of the route towards Prilep. On the left, General Vassitch's third Serbian army, with the aid of the FrancoRussian troops, is clearing out the foe from the. mountains east of Monastir. i The advance guard of the Serbians is • now a few hours' march from Prilep.
