(Received November 7, at 9.10 a.m.) _ The 'Daily Chronicle's''Paris correspon- ; dent states that the Germans have created special courts in Alsace and Lorraine for tta punishment of sympathisers with the Allies. The use of the French langnago Is forbidden. Strasbnrg Prison is full of Alsatians sentenced, for speaking French. Dnring July the sentences passed by tho Alsace and Lorraine courts totalled 3,000 years.
