PROJECTED DEPARTURES. —Coastal. and Intercolonial.— Monowai, for Auckland, November 10. Victoria, for Sydney, November 14. Wimmera, from Melbourne, Nov. 14. SAlLED.—November 6. • Somerset, s.s. (4.45 p.m.), 7,272 tons, Jarvis, for Timaru. The liner Somerset left Port Chalmers yesterday afternoon for Timaru and other northern ports to continue loading. The Government training ship Amokura left Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin, en route tothe southern islands. Captain A. M. Edwin, formerly master of the Wahine, and who recently returned from England, has taken command of the Tahiti. The Te Anau was expected to leave Bluff to-day for Oamani and Timaru to complete loading produce for Napier, Gisborue, and Auckland.

Captain Peterson, late of the Kowhai, has taken command of the Te Anau at Bluff, relieving Captain H. H. Williams, who has come ashore for instructions. The coastal steamers Invercargill and Kotare were both engaged yesterday in discharging a quantity of bluegum timber salved from the stranded barque Antiope at Bluff. Captain C. M'Lean, late of the Mararoa, has taken command of the Maitai at Wellington. Captain J. Mawson, late of the Pateena, will take command of the Mararoa at Wellington on Saturday. An interesting visitor to Auckland last week was the steamer Strathavon, which arrived on Thursday morning from New York. She is one of the vessels which wore purchased for the Australian Government when Mr Hughes was in England. The vessel is on her wav to Australia to engage in wheat-carrying. The Strathavon is now at Wellington, and after discharging there will proceed to Sydney and Melbourne. The Huddart-Parker steamer- Wimmera is due at Wellington on Thursday morning from Melbourne, and will leave on Saturday for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here on Tuesday, November 14, and sails the following day for Melbourne via Bluff. The Tarawera sailed this aftemon for East Coast ports and Auddnnd. , The Kamnna is expected to leave Port Chalmers to-day for Picton to load chaff for Onehunira.. The Kaitanea.ta is due at Lvttclton to-day from Wallaroo (South Australia) with a cargo of salt, phosphates, etc. She will afterwards visit Timaru, then Wellington and Napier to complete her discharge. The collier Kokiri arrived at Sydney on Monday from Greymouth. After discharge she will proceed to Auckland. The Karori went down to Port Chalmers this morning to discharge the balance of her coal cargo. While at the Port she will have her new foremast fitted. The Union Company's steamer Kakapo is expected to leave South Tasmania today with a cargo of timber for Bluff, Dunedin. and Lyttelton. The Monowai is due hero on Thursday morning from Auckland and East Co:is't ports. She will sail on the return voyage on Friday afternoon. The carjjo steamer Ardangorm is due at Lyttelton at a.nv time now from New York. After discharging a quantity of cargo at the Canterbury port she will come to Dunedin.

THE FERRY SERVICE. The. Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 6.55 a,m., and connected with the first express. THE VICTORIA. Up to the present time no advice has been received by the local office of the Huddart-Parker Company concerning the movements of the Victoria. The vessel has been detained at Sydney, and she has not yet been reported as having left that port for New Zcnlnnd. She was originally due at Auckland yesterday and Dunedin on Sunday next, but in consequence of the delay 'the date of her arrival here is uncertain. PORT LYTTET/TON LEFT SYDNEY. A cablegram from Sydney states that the C. and D. liner Port Lyttelton, whicn has be?n detained at the New South W T ales port owing to some friction amongst a portion of her crew, has sailed for New Zealand.
