FALKENHAYM'S FAILURE. EVERY PASS ATTEMPTED. ALT AND BUZEU VALLEYS BLOCKED.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Renter. LONDON, November 4. A Bucharest communique states.- Our pursuit in the Vulcan Pass continues. We captured here four more guns and much war material. There has been violent fighting along tho whole front at the Rotenturm Pass. The enemy violently attacked in the Bezel! Valley (east of Prcdoal), whece the Moldavian and Wallachian fronts join), occupied two heights, and progressed beyond the frontier. The- situation elsewhere is unchanged. November 5. A Rumanian communique states : We advanced west of the Buzeu River, and also northwards at Tablabutzi. W r e continued the pursuit of the enemy west of the Vulcan Fass. Quiet prevails in the Dobrudja. A Russian communique states: The enemy attack on the Rumanians in the Alt Valley, Transylvania, collapsed tsnder our cannonade. The enemy in the direction of the Vulcan Pass continue to retire northwards, pressed by the Rumanians. The Dobrudja is quiet.
